I will dedicate the first post to those people (including me) who love to eat chocolate between meals and then feel remorseful for having ingested an overdose of chocolate.
When I saw this recipe, I did not thought twice and I drived to the nearest Celeiro to get my first package of Raw Cocoa by Iswari.
When I slightly opened the package, an intense smell of chocolate immediately caught, I almost felt the will to grab a spoon and start to eat it!
Yesterday, I made some truffles / brigadiers with this cocoa powder, besides being healthy, these truffles are also super energetics and are an excellent choice for a pre-workout.
Ingredients (10 medium truffles)
- 10 to 12 pitted dates
- A handful of almonds
- A handful of a mixture of seeds (flaxseed and chia seeds)
- One tablespoon of coconut oil
- Three tablespoons of Raw Cacao by Iswari + One spoon to sprinkle
- One tablespoon of grated coconut to sprinkle
- And .. and nothing else!
Preparation
Grind the dates with the remaining ingredients in a grinder to form a slightly consistent paste.
Pour into a bowl to start the molding of the truffles. Tip: squeeze the dough to help the connection of all ingredients. Then, with the help of both palms, make a circular motion to create a perfect ball! Place the dough in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to help solidify.
At this point, we already have made truffles (which was hard to get here, whew!). We could leave them as they are, but it seems to me that an outside touch could give them another look.
In my case, I sprinkled my truffles with raw cacao and grated coconut for a contrast.
And voila, as simple as that :)
