Today we bring you another recipe! Two recipes in two days in a row? Wow!! Well ... it's our little gift for you, to celebrate Christmas!
Last Sunday, we decided between cousins to have a dinner to celebrate Christmas among us and to give secret gifts to each one of us, and as expected, I (Sónia) offered my help to make the dessert. I spent all week thinking about what I should do, I wanted something practical and fast because I had promised already to make all the desserts for Christmas (literally all!). I wanted something with chocolate, this holiday season combines really well with this delicious ingredient and I wanted a healthy recipe since in the next few days we will not stop eating!
Cake was out of the question because it would take a long time to bake in the oven, so I remembered the brownie because it only takes 20 to 25 minutes to cook. I looked at the ingredients in the pantry and decided to prepare an orange brownie, with fresh oranges freshly harvest from the orange tree. I added a delicious hazelnut cream that I made earlier this week in Lisbon (soon on the blog, do not miss it!), and created a marble effect similar to a chocolate marble cake. After a few minutes in the oven, someone came over the house said that it smelled fantastic through the kitchen and when I took it out of the tray it looked quite delicious! The taste did not disappointed! All cousins from the smallest to the older one loved it! I'm sure you will not be disappointed to!
We hope that we have inspired you for this Christmas! Eat a lot of candys!
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of flaxseed - ½ cup of orange juice - 1 cup and ½ of oatmeal flour - 1 cup and ½ almond flour - ¾ cups of coconut sugar - 1 teaspoon of baking powder - ½ teaspoon of salt - 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract - ¼ cup of melted coconut oil - 1 teaspoon of orange zest Preparation
Start by preheating the oven to 180 ° C, place the parchment paper in the bottom of a square tray and add the orange juice and the flaxseed in a bowl in the refrigerator for 10 min. In a large bowl combine the oatmeal flour, the almond flour, the orange zest, the baking powder and the salt. Use your hands to thoroughly mix all ingredients. In another bowl mix the coconut oil and the vanilla extract, then add the flaxseed and the orange juice mixture and stir well. Add the damp mix to the dried one and mix thoroughly until all ingredients are incorporated. Place the mixture on the tray and press it until you get a uniform thickness. Add a few drops of hazelnut cream (we'll soon show you our homemade recipe!) And with a knife create a marble effect. Bake for 20 to 23 minutes and you're done! Enjoy!
